I was so excited but now my phone won't download snapchat, Instagram, or any other app. This is such a disappointment. I'll have to take this phone back if we can't figure out how to make it work correctly. Especially after paying for phone that doesn't even download applications.
Go to Solution. With the issue still happening, can I ask if you tried the Safe mode step mentioned earlier in the thread? If so, what happened while the phone was in safe mode? If the issue does not happen while in safe mode, a third party app is causing this to happen and you will need to determine which app and delete it in order to fix the issue completely. The simplest way would be a factory reset and only reinstall apps one by one and test it out before installing the next.
If none of the posted steps here have worked, the next options are speaking with your carrier or seeking an evaluation through a Samsung authorized technician. View solution in context. I can understand wanting to download apps on your device. If you're unable to update or download via network, or what you know to be a good wifi connection, your play store might be goofed. I would recommend starting with clearing the data and cache from the play store app, and rebooting. To do so, long-press the play store icon, select app info, force stop, click on storage and then click the clear data and clear cache.
Reboot and see if the symptoms persist. I have also had issues with my brand new Galaxy S20 not downloading apps. I have tried everything I can think of, including the above advice regarding clearing the data and cache from the play store app.
I'm so frustated that I'm about to return this phone and move on to something other than a Samsung phone. The only thing that has worked so far is booting into Safe Mode. My apps are now downloading and installing.
The only problem is, that means that there is a third-party app on my phone that is causing the issue and there is no way to find out. Did any of the solutions below resolve your problem? What error message do you get when trying to install an app? I have tried everything except completely scrubbing everything from my phone and starting completely over. If I completely clear the cache and data from the Playstore app, I might be able to get an app to download and install, but even then it can take upwards of 24 hours.
Or it grey out? Or you don't have this button on Tab A7? Thank you Tallman for your information. Hey chefgarry, Please follow the suggestions provided by Tallman and check if it works. Note: Free up the internal memory on your tablet by moving apps to your microSD card.
The ability to move apps to the microSD card is not supported by all apps and this option is not available on all tablets. If this option is not available the app cannot be moved. I can move non-system apps to my SD card on my S6 but not on my wife's A7. The same apps on both devices. How can I do this? All forum topics Previous Topic Next Topic. Accepted Solutions. I remembered move app to SD card option was many years ago.
I have not see this option after Note8. What OS version of your S6? Is your wife A7 is brand new running on Android10? Ok, since the Tab A7 is brand new.
